Molly's Cafe Strahan Tasmania. Jolly Molly

 We were staying at the BIG4 Strahan Holiday Retreat Park and wanted something simple, quick and convenient. Molly’s Great Food fits that description perfectly and is conveniently located right next door to BIG4. 

This is a great place for casual dining, where you can dine in or outdoors or takeaway. They even have a chalkboard displayed at the front of the café with specials for the day. The staff were friendly and we were attended to quickly. We ordered ‘Beef Burger’ with the lot @ $11.50, ‘Chicken Tenders’ with sweet chilli sauce @ $2.50 each and large chips. The café also had a fridge with packed sandwiches, desserts and fruit / salad tubs, chocolates to go and basic grocery items – very handy! 

I noticed there was a basket with fresh fruit on the counter with no price and wanted to buy a fruit. So I asked the lady how much is the fruit? To my surprise, she replied that they are for free. Wow… that is so nice of them to offer free fruit to customers. 

We didn’t have to wait long for our order, about 20 minutes and brought it back to our cabin to eat. The burger was loaded, cooked to perfection and tasted delicious. Chicken tenders were tasty, tender and delicious. And the chips were thick cut chips – the way I love my chips – crisp on the outside and soft on the inside and generous serving. 

The price is fair and our meal was delicious – satisfied our hungry tummies. Molly’s is opened very early (5am to 8pm during summer) and caters for breakfast, lunch and dinner. For something, quick and delicious or simple snack, head for Molly’s.
